Between Shows: “Arrow” Starring Colin Donnell

Today is former Anything Goes star Colin Donnell’s 30th birthday and we miss seeing him onstage, so what better way to celebrate than with this week’s Between Shows, the new CW series “Arrow” starring Donnell himself?

“Arrow” is a superhero series about a billionaire playboy (what else?) named Oliver Queen (played by Stephen Amell) who returns home from the desert, where he has been stranded for five years, with superhuman strength and archery skills, which he uses to fight crime. The series is based on DC’s “Green Arrow” comic books. Donnell plays Queen’s best friend Tommy Merlyn. If the series follows the comic books, Colin Donnell will eventually be playing a superhero too. That’s almost as cool as singing and dancing on Broadway. Watch the trailer above and Donnell’s video interview below, then tune into the CW at 8/7c tomorrow night to watch the series premiere of “Arrow!”
