THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, broke records on Broadway and in Denver for the week ending August 19. At Broadway’s Eugene O’Neill Theatre, THE BOOK OF MORMON grossed $1,651,064.00, breaking the house record for the 39th time. In Denver, where THE BOOK OF MORMON is launching its First National Tour, the show broke the house record at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House, with $1,340,947.00 for the week. Following the Denver engagement, the First National Tour of THE BOOK OF MORMON heads to Los Angeles, with performances beginning September 5 at the Pantages Theatre.
THE BOOK OF MORMON features book, music and lyrics by Trey Parker, Robert Lopez and Matt Stone. The production is choreographed by Casey Nicholaw and is directed by Nicholaw and Parker.
