Breaking news:
Jessica Hecht and Judith Light to Star in New Richard Greenberg Play
ArtsBeat Blog/NYTimes.com – Posted by FELICIA R. LEE
Jessica Hecht and Judith Light, who won a Tony Award this year for her performance in “Other Desert Cities,” will star next spring in the world premiere of Richard Greenberg’s new play, “The Assembled Parties,” the Manhattan Theater Club said on Tuesday.
The limited engagement will begin previews on March 19 and open on April 17 at the Samuel J. Friedman Theater at 261 West 47th Street.
“The Assembled Parties,” about a search for stability among members of a Jewish family living on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, marks Mr. Greenberg’s return to the Manhattan Theater Club following the 2009 Broadway revival of his 1990 play, “The American Plan.” It will be directed by Lynne Meadow (“Wit,” “Collected Stories”), the artistic director of the Manhattan Theater Club.

For Many Of Us, Social Media = Facebook [STUDY]
All Twitter – Posted by shea bennett
What’s the first thing you think of when you hear the term “social media”?
Forbes writer Steve Olenski posed this question to his LinkedIn network and almost one-third (32 percent) of respondents said that it was Facebook. Olenski took his query further, polling 500 people about their perception of social media, before comparing the responses with data previously taken in 2010.
The results are interesting. Individually, respondents were largely as bullish or negative about social media as they were two years ago, but some 57 percent have increased their use of Facebook since 2010, compared to 26 percent on Twitter and just 11 percent on LinkedIn.
Conversely, 32 percent have decreased LinkedIn usage, ahead of Twitter (24 percent) and Facebook (20 percent). So, Facebook would certainly appear to equate to social media for the majority. Which makes sense – you don’t get close to a billion active users by accident.
