MTC’s “The Whipping Man” Begins Final Two Weeks of Limited Engagement Tonight

Manhattan Theatre Club’s hit production of Matthew Lopez’s new play THE WHIPPING MAN, directed by Tony Award winner Doug Hughes, begins the final two weeks of its limited engagement tonight at 7 PM at MTC at New York City Center – Stage I (131 West 55th Street). The show will play its final performance on Sunday, April 10. On that date it will have played 21 preview performances and 80 regular performances.

The limited engagement of THE WHIPPING MAN was extended twice at MTC due to popular demand. The production opened to critical acclaim for playwright Matthew Lopez, who is making his New York playwrighting debut in this production, director Doug Hughes and the cast which stars two-time Emmy Award winner André Braugher (“Men of a Certain Age,” “Homicide”), André Holland (Joe Turner’s Come and Gone, The Brother/Sister Plays), and Jay Wilkison (film version of Rabbit Hole).
