March is Colon Cancer Awareness Month.  LOMBARDI, the Broadway show that celebrates the life of legendary football coach Vince Lombardi, will donate $2 to colon cancer research for every ticket sold between March 7-31, 2011 for a March performance.

Coach Lombardi was a fighter all his life, but there was one opponent that even Coach couldn’t defeat on his own; he was just 57 years old when he succumbed to colon cancer.   Today, thanks to simple medical screenings, everyone has the means to diagnose and stop colorectal cancer before it’s too late.

Dan Lauria, who stars as the inspirational coach, has taped a public service announcement encouraging people to get screened; beginning next week it can be seen at www.lombardibroadway.com.
