Brian Murray, Jayne Houdyshell and Jessie Austrian join the cast of
The Importance of Being Earnest
Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) is pleased to announce Brian Murray, Jayne Houdyshell and Jessie Austrian will join the critically acclaimed Broadway production of Oscar Wilde’s comedy The Importance of Being Earnest, directed by and starring Brian Bedford as “Lady Bracknell,” at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway (227 West 42nd St.).
Dana Ivey, Paxton Whitehead and Sara Topham will play their final performance on Sunday, March 20th. Brian Murray (Rev. Canon Chasuble), Jayne Houdyshell (Miss Prism) and Jessie Austrian (Gwendolen Fairfax) will begin performances on Tuesday, March 22nd. The limited engagement of The Importance of Being Earnest has been extended 17-weeks through Sunday, July 3rd, 2011. It was originally scheduled to run through March 6th, 2011.
