BROADWAY CARES/EQUITY FIGHTS AIDS

(New York, NY) – Today marks the official launch of BroadwayBares.com, the official website of BROADWAY BARES. The site will launch after the midnight performance of BROADWDAY BARES 19.0: “CLICK IT!”

BroadwayBares.com is an online community resource presenting a front-row seat for the hottest show in town BROADWAY BARES, Broadway’s finest strip down for a good cause. BroadwayBares.com gives fans of BARES a ticket behind the scenes to see Broadway’s sexiest performers displaying some of their greatest assets. Gorgeous stage idols from Broadway’s biggest shows will strut their stuff as you’ve never seen them before.

BroadwayBares.com was developed after Mitchell and iStar Web Solutions, Inc. recognized the need for an online community resource for BROADWAY BARES. The site will be a place for fans to not only see their favorite Broadway dancers in and out of some very special “costumes,” but also they will get to know them a little: what they dream about when they’re on stage and “taking it off;” what they think about in the dressing room before, during, and after the show; and most importantly, why they feel it’s important to be a part of BROADWAY BARES.

Jerry Mitchell, creator and executive producer of BROADWAY BARES said, “I’m so excited to launch BroadwayBares.com, for everything that’s Broadway and everything that’s bare.  Why not take this fantastic show and spread it all over the world to encourage people to be safe and to live life to the fullest.   At the same time we can raise money for Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS, so we can help provide assistance to those who need it.

BROADWAY BARES has become one of the most talked about events in New York and one of the most exciting events among the Broadway community, and it is now time to share it on a larger stage, the World Wide Web. We are here to give everyone a place to log in, have fun and give back – a place to get in touch with some of the most beautiful men and women working on Broadway, and make a donation to BC/EFA. Every cent raised by this website will go directly to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.”

Every month BroadwayBares.com will post articles including: interviews with Broadway celebrities, dancers, directors and choreographers; polling capability to vote for the Stripper of the Month; Tip-N-Strip for donating to your favorite dancer throughout the year; current BARES news; downloadable BROADWAY BARES screen savers and wallpaper; online shopping for BARES merchandise; and “T-Shirt Swap” a new interactive online game where you can have two of your favorite dancers swap tee shirts… all online.

BROADWAY BARES 19.0 “CLICK IT!” will be held tonight, June 21 with two performances only (9:30 PM & Midnight) at Roseland Ballroom (239 West 52nd Street). BROADWAY BARES 19.0 “CLICK IT!” is produced by and benefits Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS.

Broadway’s hottest boiz are grabbing their hard drives and the grlz are ready to play with some brand new software for what is sure to be a Broadway Bares that will fry more than your mother board. BROADWAY BARES 19.0 will have over 200 of Broadway’s hottest dancers bringing the information superhighway to life and will surely have all of New York a“twitter.”

BROADWAY BARES 19.0 “CLICK IT!” is produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, executive produced by Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell (Catch Me If You Can, Legally Blonde, Peepshow in Las Vegas), and will be directed by Peter Gregus (Jersey Boys).

The first Broadway Bares in 1992 featured seven dancers stripping on a bar and raised over $8,000.
